Delicious and sensational breakfasts, and accommodating staff.
Incredible food, great service and pleasant view of the garden. Very central location very close to city centre. And close to the railway station, buses into the centre, and taxi.

I always like the plush England charm of this kind of hotel as a contrast to the usual, everywhere the same world designer uniform. It is also close to the station without any disturbing noise from there.
In the stairway of the upper floor, the plaster crumbled due to a bigger water damage, this does not make a good impression, also, some things had to be renovated in different places, but the room was ok with a freshly renovated bathroom and a neat furnishing.

Former Midland Hotel which has been fully renovated to a high standard throughout retaining much of its original charm. Efficient check-in/check- out. Free parking for residents, even after we checked out! Great location right next to railway station/bus terminus. Only a 10 minute walk to Derby town centre. Good sized, tastefully decorated room. Free wi-fi in room that actually worked! Very good buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.

very good location, beautiful english, a bit outdated hotel. Very good English breakfast, nice breakfast room.
The reception and checkout left a lot to be desired, not very attentive staff at the reception. Hotel in some places in need of renovation.

The courtyard garden was beautiful, yet the room could use some refurbishment.

From the entrance to the reception areas and on into the bedroom, all was obviously of high quality. The bathroom and bedroom looked newly furnished, and the food was of good quality too.
We missed having any drawers for our folded clothes Because the shower control was low down we found it difficult to adjust without getting hit by freezing or boiling water.
